Supply Chain Transparency
California recently enacted the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act, which takes effect on January 1, 2012, and requires certain manufacturers and retailers doing business in California to report on their websites their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from their direct supply chains for tangible goods offered for sale.Schiff Nutrition Group cares about the issues of human trafficking and slavery and agrees that efforts to eradicate human trafficking and slavery are important. In the spirit of California's new law, Schiff is in the process of analyzing its current policies and procedures regarding these issues and updating its policies and procedures as appropriate to take action, including to monitor its suppliers' compliance with applicable laws.
